Bain-Marie for Wax Melting

For simple heating of small wax quantities on a cooker hotplate.

To use this water bath, you must put 250 ml of water inside the opening provided for this purpose. Put your wax in the bain-marie and place it directly on your electric or gas hob (does not work on an induction hob). After 20 to 25 minutes your wax will be melted and ready to use.

Bain-Marie - Instructions

1. Remove the whistle lid on the side and
2. pour in approx. 2.5 dl water.
3. Replace the whistle lid and turn slightly until it is firmly in place.
4. Add the desired quantity of wax (max. 1.4 kg).
5. Place the bain-marie on a hotplate and heat on the highest level.
6. As soon as you hear the whistle, turn down the hotplate temperature.
7. Check the water level and top up regularly.

Warning
When wax is poured out, hot water can come out of the whistle lid as the bain-marie is being held at an angle.

The whistle lid should therefore always be positioned with its opening pointing upwards when wax is being poured out.
The bain-marie must not be used by children or by people with disabilities.
Wax vapour can ignite spontaneously as of 180°C. Warning :
